Kathryn Réfi was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art with her B.F.A. and earned her M.F.A. from the University of Georgia. She has had solo exhibitions at Saltworks Gallery, Atlanta, GA; the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art, Indianapolis, IN; Elijah Wheat Showroom, Brooklyn, NY; and Solomon Projects, Atlanta, GA. Select group shows include Pierogi Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; Fe Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA; the Mary Brogan Museum of Art and Science, Tallahassee, FL; Mixed Greens, Manhattan, NY; the Gibbes Museum, Charleston, SC; and Atlanta Contemporary, Atlanta, GA; among many others. Her work has been reviewed in numerous publications including Art in America and Art Papers. She currently resides in Athens, GA.
